I always say that ballet is one of the best workouts you can do to get long, lean, toned muscles, so I always jump at any chance to work ballet moves into my routine.
Lately I’ve been doing “Ballet Beautiful” with former dancer Mary-Helen Bowers. When I first tried it, I saw that it only ran 15 minutes and I immediately thought it would be too short, but at about five minutes in, I was really feeling the burn and could barely keep up with Mary-Helen. It was challenging but I could definitely feel it tightening everything up.
I did the full-body workout or the “total body sculpt”, which has a core section, a bridge section, and an arm section. I found this highly effective because you’re getting so much out of such a short workout. It’s great if you’re in a rush or if you don’t feel like doing a long, two-hour workout.
I paired the video with 25 minutes of cardio on a stationary bike and I found that the combination made me feel like I had worked every part of my body. Altogether, the process was only 40 minutes, which is pretty quick for a comprehensive workout!
I would definitely recommend Ballet Beautiful to anyone who’s looking to sculpt and tone their muscles in a short period of time.
