13 Stunning Outdoor Tablescapes

Ever since I was little, I’ve always thought a wedding in a meadow surrounded by flowers, trees and grass would be the most beautiful way to celebrate a marriage. Even now, I still can’t think of a more ideal setting for a spring wedding than the great outdoors, where everything’s buzzing, blooming and growing.

There’s something so magical and whimsical about celebrating your nuptials in nature. If done right and adorned with enough blooms, twinkle lights and rustic details, the scene can look like a woodland fairy party or a celebration of nymphs (which, to me, is something you should always be striving for when planning your wedding!).

Some of the most beautiful outdoor tablescapes I’ve seen worked because they didn’t try to upstage the surrounding nature, but simply echoed it with tons of flowers and distressed wood. Mismatched chairs and patterns make for the most charming, eclectic look and help to mirror the imperfection of nature.

That being said, there’s something so gorgeous about mixing lavish details with nature. There’s no better carpet than the grass and no better lighting than the stars, but if you can, there’s something to be said for bringing the indoors out and enjoying the benefits of the wilderness along with the comforts of home. I love the look of persian carpets on top of grass and gorgeous crystal chandeliers hanging from the trees. The mixing of styles makes for such an interesting look and your guests will adore that they can enjoy the beauty of the outdoors alongside some beautiful and sophisticated décor.

An outdoor wedding is one of the easiest ways to achieve a gorgeous celebration, because nature does all the work – all you have to do is add a few personalized touches to your scene! For some stunning outdoor tablescape inspiration, click through the gallery below.
