What I Wore Wednesday: Floral, Summery Frock

IMG_3900One of the best things about the warmer weather is that summer dresses become fair game. I truly feel most myself when I’m wearing a pretty, feminine sundress, and the one I’m wearing today is no exception!

Its fitted bodice and slightly flared skirt make it so flattering, and the neckline is super ladylike and demure. Plus, the print is so jaunty and happy but not overly busy or bright. Soft florals are ideal for spring and summer – to me, they never get old! There’s just something so natural and beautiful about a good flowery print, and I think this one is even sweeter because it features one of my favourite type of flowers – yellow and pink roses.

I love pairing this dress with my denim vest – it adds the perfect extra something and it’s a great alternative to a cardi or a slouchy sweater because it’s a little bit more fitted. Get ready to be seeing this vest lots more with my favourite summer outfits!

Finally, I accessorized with a bunch of sparkly, colourful bracelets and my shimmery Birks to bring out the colours of the dress. (My Birkenstocks have already started moulding to my feet – they’re super comfy!)

I think this outfit is so fun and summery! What’s your favourite thing to wear during the warm months?! Let me know in the comments!
