Everyone has their favourite go-to beauty products that always seem to claim a spot on their makeup table. As a creature of habit, my favourites are always a consistent feature in my routine, no matter what!
When it comes to perfume, I like to rotate a few different scents for each different occasion and season. For example, for the colder, more Christmassy weather, I like sweeter, spicier scents, whereas for the warmer months I like something lighter and fresher.
Jo Malone makes some absolutely dreamy scents. You’ll always find me lingering in the Jo Malone section in department stores, trying every scent and oohing and aahing at all the delicious fragrances and flavours.
One I’ve always wanted to buy is wood sage and sea salt because of how fresh and natural it smells. It reminds me of a forest on the ocean by the coast or a cozy cottage retreat.
As for my current go-to scents, each one brings something different and interesting to the table. Check out the list below to find out which scents will always hold a special place on my makeup table:
1. Candy by Prada
I love this scent for a more dressy occasion in the fall or winter. It’s such a sweet, rich fragrance so it’s lovely for something like Christmas dinner or Valentine’s Day. I love pairing this scent with something preppier like a tailored dress or a black turtleneck with a skirt.
2. Infusion d’Iris by Prada
Iris is another lovely prada fragrance. I like spritzing this one on my neck or wrist on a hot summer day when I’m looking for something lighter and fresher. Think billowy chiffons and maxi skirts with this one!
3. for Her Eau de Toilette by Narciso Rodriguez
This perfume screams absolute luxury and femininity. It’s sweet with a subtle spice that makes it like no other scent out there. This one goes well with fitted body con dresses or anything else you feel sexy in!
I’ve loved satsuma ever since it first came out years ago at the Body Shop. It has such a juicy, irresistible smell which is ideal for hot summer days by the pool. I like to buy this one in body butter, hand lotion, lip balm and anything else it comes in, which makes me think of it as more of an overall body scent instead of a perfume. This one is a bit more casual and relaxed, so I like to wear it on a day to day basis with jean shorts, a casual dress or even gym clothes!
5. Lily of the Valley & Ivy Cologne by Jo Malone
I’ve also been wearing this scent for years. It’s super lovely and sweet but also natural smelling, like a real flower or fruit just plucked from the branch. That’s the thing I love about Jo Malone – his scents never smell synthetic or fabricated, they’re just pure and untouched. I also like this one as an everyday fragrance to wear to school or work with a simple ensemble of jeans and a cute top.
