Five fun ways to spruce up boring walls

Jazzing up a boring white wall can be a challenge, especially if you’re a renter and don’t have too much leeway with your design options. It can be tough to find a way to make a small space feel homey and cozy when you’re surrounded by four dismal white walls.

Luckily, there are tons of creative ways to spruce up your space. You don’t have to feel limited by paint or your grandma’s old artwork — affordable wall art, prints and decals are popping all over stores like Indigo and Urban Outfitters. It’s easier than ever to decorate your walls on a budget and more importantly, in style!

I’m obsessing over kitschy prints with inspirational quotes and bohemian art pieces like dreamcatchers and yarn wall hangings. It can be so fun to add a splash of colour, joy or nature to an uninspired room. Whatever your style, personality or interests, decorating your walls is a great way to express yourself and fill your home with things that make your soul happy.

Plus, you can always turn your wall-adorning process into a fun DIY. Next on my crafting list is to make a rustic yarn hanging! Stay tuned.

Take a peek at five wall decor ideas I’m currently crushing on.
