Five Books Every Fairy Lover Should Read

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the world of fairies, folklore and magic. When I was little, I would spend hours searching for fairies in my backyard and reading up on mythology and fantastical tales of another realm.

Over the years, I’ve collected quite a few books on fairies just out of sheer interest for the subject, so I thought I’d share a few of my favourites with you in case you felt the strong pull as I do:

1. Faeries by Brian Froud

Brian Froud is the utmost authority on all things faerie. He knows so much about the mythology and science of their world, and his art is absolutely stunning to boot!

2. Bad Faeries/Good Faeries by Brian Froud

This is another one of my favourites by Froud. The illustrations are just so dreamy — sometimes I’ll just flip through the pages to relax and get some inspiration!

3. Healing with the Fairies by Doreen Virtue

Doreen Virtue is clairvoyant, so she has some really great insight into the other realms. She’s full of lovely information and stories all about fairies as well as angels, mermaids and more. This book is super helpful if you’re looking to develop a deeper relationship with the fairies to heal the environment or past wounds of your own.

4. Fairies 101 by Doreen Virtue

This is another text by Virtue which is full of fascinating stories and accounts of fairy sightings. I loved reading about people’s experiences with the other world!

5. Fairies: The Myths, Legends and Lore by Skye Alexander

This book focuses more on the mythology and folklore surrounding fairies. It’s full of tons of interesting stories from various cultures around the world. Read this one if you’re interested in learning about how other countries and time periods relate to fairies!

There are so many more fairy books I love, but I thought I’d share my top five as a start! Do you have any favourite spiritual books? Let me know in the comments!
