What I Wore Wednesday: Mazon Vintage photo shoot

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of modelling a few outfits from my friend Ali’s new vintage clothing line, Mazon Vintage. Ali uses her keen eye to spot the most amazing vintage finds from thrift stores because — let’s face it — some of  us need help scouting out the good stuff!

I’ve never been much of a thrifter.  I can never seem to find that diamond in the rough hidden beneath a pile of horrible, oversized sweatshirts or the thousands of ill-fitting lumberjack shirts scattered around the room.

But Ali has a knack for finding the cutest items that look like they belonged to the most stylish women from the 80s. She even tracked down an adorable, babydoll Valentino dress, which I’m wearing in the sixth photo down.

There’s something so charming and one-of-a-kind about vintage clothing. It always makes you think of another time and place, somehow creating a sense of romantic nostalgia for an era you didn’t even live through!

Ali’s selections felt reminiscent of a simpler time of midi skirts and silk — a time when you could only talk to someone on the phone in a certain room and social media didn’t exist. We chose to take the photos in the woods to reflect this easy, relaxed vibe.

We had so much fun taking photos in the wilderness like nature goddesses/witches/fairies! Take a look at the photos below and make sure you check out Mazon Vintage’s new blog!
