A crochet dress for a snowy Monday

IMG_4128As you can see from my photos, today was a super snowy day in Toronto, so I wore this knitted FP frock with black thigh-high socks. I love anything crochet because it has such a vintage, seventies look and it’s a great texture for any season. I added this fun, asymmetrical necklace to break up the blacks a bit and make the look a bit more interesting.

I’m never super energized or lively on Mondays, so I always love getting dressed up for the day. This look feels chic and sophisticated yet comfortable, so it makes for a lovely daytime outfit.

I thought it would be a good idea to start adding a few life updates into my style posts, so here goes: I’m now on my second week of interning at Weddingbells for the second time, and I’m still loving it! Looking at gorgeous pictures of people celebrating their love is endlessly inspiring, and I’m having so much fun coming up with content ideas and writing.

On the health front, I’m now up to four shots of insulin a day to keep my blood sugars down, but the doctors still aren’t sure which type I am, and I may never get a clear answer one way or the other. Right now, I’m just trying to keep my head above water and stay safe, so I’m fine with not having all the answers just yet. Diabetes is a chronic disease, so either way, I will have to learn to live with this and accept the fact that not everything can be explained or understood perfectly.

Whew — I guess there’s lots going on in my life right now! What’s happening in yours, beautiful? Highlight of your Monday?
